On Saturday 18th Decemeber, the band invited us to a gig inwhich they were playing. We had confirmation from the party host that they would be happy for us to come along and film live footage of the band, in the hope that we could use this in our final music video.
Unfortunatly I was unable to attend the shoot, but made sure to let the band know this is advance so as to not cause problems. Despite this, I knew from Emily the ins and outs of the plan to film.
Myself and Emily discussed that it would be difficult to draw up a storyboard for the live performance, as we could not predict what the band was going to do. Our intention was to just view and film the band doing their own thing; this would give us a better idea of the group and also allow the audience of the finished music video to see the personality of the band.
After filming, I got a text from Jamie informing me that the filming had gone ok, despite only having one non-HD camera to film with, due to people booking out the cameras.
However, after the group managing to film 28 minutes of footage, Jamie text me again to say how there was complications with the footage and it was proving impossible to get the data off the camera.
I am yet to hear the outcome of the filming, but am planning to email the group about it soon.
